A wholly owned subsidiary of Cargill, Black River Asset Mangement needed a bold mark that would communicate strength, stability, and expertise to a global audience of investors and financial professionals. The mark depicts a stylized Black River in honor of Cargill's midwestern heritage, and suggests to the mind the idea that Black River Asset Managment is a steady stream of profitable investments.

Having the right information at the right time is critical to Black River Asset Management's success. Because of this, they set out to overhaul their intranet and multiple risk management applications. This is an example of one of Black River's re-designed web applications that is able to collapse, sort, move, and hide whatever information the stock broker needs at any given moment — and it does this while delivering an elegant and on-brand experience.
Working off the idea that it takes different views and perspectives to make a successful investment, the photography focused on showing different highrises at varying angles collaged together to create a visually striking image. The site was designed entirely in black with blue and orange accents to further re-inforce the Black River brand.
